Traveling Construction Materials Testing – Engineering Technician III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct testing, observations, and inspections in accordance with training and established procedures.

• Clearly document findings and results.

• Carry out basic data analysis to ensure accuracy prior to communication and submission to the Project Manager.

• Relay information to the Project Manager and other team members as instructed.

• Support senior technicians with more complex tasks.

• Maintain assigned equipment along with its calibration.

• Operate a Ford F-150 or a comparable vehicle.

• Adhere to safety protocols, project safety standards, and pre-task planning procedures.

• Report any safety issues or concerns to management.

• Uphold quality standards across all projects.

• Travel 100% of the time for transportation, commercial building, wind farm, and other projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• A minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience or comparable training and related experience.

• Proficiency in using laptop computers, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.

• A valid driver’s license with a satisfactory violation history.

• Required ACI certification in Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I or Concrete Strength Testing Technician.

• Certification in radiation safety and operation of Nuclear Density Gauge.

• Successful completion of relevant internal safety certifications.

• Willingness to travel 100% of the time within the North Central division, which includes Nebraska, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin.

• Preferred certifications may include NICET Level II, ICC, AWS CAWI, ASNT Level II, and other materials-related certifications.
