Travel Respiratory Therapist, RRT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Fulfill both short-term and long-term respiratory therapy assignments across the health system.

• Float between the hospital and/or various hospital locations and/or regions.

• Implement standard professional practices in accordance with AARC guidelines.

• Operate independently and effectively within the realm of knowledge and experience.

• Maintain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes.

• Embrace new and additional responsibilities.

• Manage competing priorities while welcoming new ideas and cultural diversity.

• Deliver respiratory therapy services across diverse practice settings during local-regional or national travel assignments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.

• Graduated from a two-year advanced practitioner-accredited Respiratory Therapist program; eligible for Registry.

• Possess a current RRT credential.

• Hold a valid State License in Respiratory Care if mandated in the state of employment.

• Required to maintain credentials pertinent to specialty areas, such as ACLS and NRP.

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications must be acquired through the American Heart Association.

• Demonstrate interpersonal skills necessary for effective communication with patients, physicians, other healthcare personnel, and departmental management.

• Exhibit analytical skills to assess patients’ needs.

• Proven basic computer proficiency in a Windows environment.

• Experience in Adult, NICU, and PICU settings is required.

• Must be qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or various hospital locations and/or regions.
