Travel Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assist clients in researching and planning vacations tailored to their needs, preferences, and budgets.

• Conduct research on destinations, resorts, cruises, vacation packages, transportation, and various travel options.

• Prepare and present travel quotes along with itinerary alternatives.

• Arrange travel bookings through approved suppliers and booking platforms.

• Communicate with clients throughout the booking process, including before, during, and after.

• Maintain accurate records of client information and reservations.

• Process and monitor payments, deadlines, and final payment schedules.

• Stay updated on supplier promotions, destination news, and travel requirements.

• Engage in available training and professional growth opportunities.

• Build and nurture positive relationships with clients.

• Market and expand your independent travel business.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.

• Comfortable using computers, email, and online platforms.

• Well-organized with strong attention to detail.

• Capable of working independently and managing time effectively.

• Willingness to complete training and further your knowledge of the travel industry.

• Experience in sales, hospitality, customer service, or travel is beneficial but not mandatory.

• No prior experience in the travel industry is necessary.
