This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Transform inbound calls, emails, and web inquiries into bookings for Railbookers and Amtrak Vacations, emphasizing B2B interactions; this includes timely outbound follow-up calls to cultivate leads and finalize sales.
• Assess leads by understanding their travel aspirations, preferences, and budgets to create compelling, tailored itineraries.
• Present pricing, upsell options, and special promotions confidently to enhance revenue and secure sales.
• Consistently achieve or surpass sales targets, conversion rates, and other crucial performance indicators.
• Build strong relationships with customers and travel advisors to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Collaborate with internal teams across functions to ensure clear communication and accuracy for every booking and quote.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of rail routes, destinations, and packages to effectively position offerings.
• Precisely track leads and sales within CRM systems and adhere to established processes for a smooth booking experience.
• Engage in continuous product training, sales coaching, and active involvement in team performance initiatives to stay sharp.
• Exhibit strong organizational abilities to efficiently and consistently manage daily tasks and sales opportunities.
• Stay adaptable and open to change in a fast-paced, expanding organization, embracing new challenges and opportunities.
• At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume customer service contact center, preferably in the travel, hospitality, or transportation sectors.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating a clear, concise, and professional telephone demeanor.
• Strong active listening skills and the capacity to empathize with customer needs.
• Proven problem-solving capabilities and a resourceful approach to finding effective solutions.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when handling multiple tasks and intricate itineraries.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented, remote environment.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic setting, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• A genuine enthusiasm for travel and a commitment to creating unforgettable experiences for guests.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree or relevant certifications in Hospitality or Travel are advantageous.
