This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
β’ Deliver **swift written translations** utilizing a Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tool, with access to XTM provided.
β’ Follow all project-specific instructions, glossaries, and reference materials supplied to you.
β’ Ensure that the concept, style, and register of the source content are culturally and linguistically suitable for the target language.
β’ Conduct language quality checks (prior to delivery) to guarantee that the target translation is flawless and accurately conveys the meaning of the source document.
β’ Submit completed translation assignments within the specified deadlines and project budgets. *FEMA projects necessitate expedited delivery, with due dates determined by word count.*
β’ Review formatted target language PDF documents for precision; identify and note any necessary corrections. Proficiency in using Adobe markup tools is essential.
β’ Communicate promptly and professionally with members of the Prisma team.
β’ Actively engage in quality management processes, such as Corrective Action Reports (CARs), Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), and the implementation of solutions.
β’ Take all necessary precautions to safeguard sensitive information shared with you for translation projects (e.g., PHI, PII, SBU).
β’ Comply with the policies and procedures outlined in Prisma's Master Service Agreement (MSA) and the Prisma Vendor Guide.
β’ You must be a resident of the United States or a U.S. territory.
β’ You must be at least 18 years of age.
β’ Possess a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience providing written translations for state and/or federal government agencies. Candidates submitting resumes lacking a three-year timeline of experience with fed/state government agencies will be disqualified.
β’ Certified by a recognized translation industry organization, such as the American Translators Association (ATA), Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), or Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR), **--OR--** hold a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in translation or a related language discipline from an accredited institution. If hired, you will be required to provide proof of accreditation(s). More than five years of professional translation services to state and/or federal government agencies may be accepted as a substitute for the above requirements.
β’ Willingness to adhere to Prisma's Master Service Agreement (MSA) and associated Addenda.
β’ High proficiency in English and a native speaker of the target language(s).
β’ A reliable desktop PC or laptop equipped with a secure, high-speed internet connection.
β’ Experience with modern CAT tools (e.g., XTM, Trados, etc.).
β’ Adobe Acrobat installed on your device with the capability to utilize Adobe's markup tools on a PDF file.
