Translator – Learning Designer, Localization Project (German)

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Review and enhance AI-pretranslated content within Smartcat, ensuring accuracy, fluency, grammar, tone, and natural expression in German.

• Consistently apply approved terminology across various skills, decisions, products, and specialized terms.

• Naturally adapt language to reflect the buyer-as-hero concept and the "you" perspective for German audiences.

• Reconstruct finalized translations within existing PowerPoint presentations and Articulate Rise modules.

• Test and fix animations, transitions, triggers, timing, and build sequences for presentations.

• Address layout challenges arising from German text expansion and lengthy compound nouns.

• Conduct minor image and screenshot text edits within PowerPoint.

• Ensure all assets are delivered in a fully presentation-ready format.

• Collaborate effectively with the internal team and other contractors while working independently to meet project milestones.

• Engage in 1–2 weekly check-ins to ensure progress.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in German with exceptional professional/B2B writing abilities.

• Strong reading and collaboration skills in English.

• Demonstrated experience in business, sales enablement, corporate learning, or professional localization.

• Proficient in utilizing terminology glossaries and adhering to style guides.

• Advanced PowerPoint skills, including familiarity with the Animation Pane and animation troubleshooting.

• Experience with Articulate Rise or comparable authoring tools.

• Solid understanding of German text expansion and compound nouns in fixed layouts.

• Availability to align with Eastern Time (GMT-4) / Central European business hours.

• Experience in localization QA for animated or interactive presentations is a plus.

• B2B sales enablement experience is also a plus.
