This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee project plans encompassing deliverables, tasks, milestones, estimates, timelines, and resources.
• Serve as the client manager for designated projects, providing support to foster long-term relationships and drive business growth.
• Oversee project deliverables, implementation, deadlines, budget, quality, and closure in accordance with client specifications.
• Negotiate project scope and create proposals and quotations for prospective new business opportunities.
• Maintain regular communication regarding ongoing and upcoming project issues.
• Deliver status updates and proactively investigate and present solutions to enhance client satisfaction.
• Offer support and training to linguists on necessary project tools.
• Supervise linguists by evaluating work quality and providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with the team to exchange best practices, propose enhancements, and share feedback.
• Provide clients with reports on business intelligence, quality metrics, and productivity indicators.
• Act as an intermediary between translators and evaluators.
• Handle communications regarding client, translator, and new business support inquiries.
• Manage capacity planning to ensure the availability of both internal and external resources.
• Utilize client-specific tools as required for various projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent), ideally in translation studies or linguistics, or a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Project Manager in the translation services industry.
• Professional background in translation or localization services, editing, customer service, or related business, IT, or linguistic fields.
• Capacity to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects concurrently.
• Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with translation tools, including DTP, and CAT tools such as SDL Trados Studio, Across, Plunet, XTM, Wordfast, and MemoQ.
• Experience with translation management systems.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent listening skills.
• Self-motivated, confident, adaptable, and resilient.
• Accountable and takes full ownership of responsibilities.
• A problem-solver and team-oriented individual.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Availability to work from 8am to 5pm Central Standard Time (US) or Eastern Standard Time.
