Transit Safety Security Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee project activities for internal and external clients throughout the United States

• Implement risk management processes established by FTA along with industry standards set by APTA

• Offer leadership and support to diverse team members and junior personnel

• Create PHAs/TVAs along with corresponding mitigations and countermeasures

• Facilitate workshops with multidisciplinary teams and committees

• Develop CELs/CILs

• Formulate DCCCs/CSCCs

• Engage directly with agency clients and project managers

• Prepare SSC documentation and reports

• Develop, evaluate, and refresh PTASPs on an annual basis

• Conduct SSC peer reviews

• Provide SSC training for both internal and external clients

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalence of experience and/or education

• Certification from the Public Transportation Safety Certification Training Program (PTSCTP and/or TSSP)

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential

• U.S. citizenship required

• Capability to pass an MVR check

• Possess or able to obtain U.S. Security Clearance

• Relocation assistance not available

• Preferred: FTA TSSP Bus/Rail Certification

• Working knowledge of CPTED Design Standards

• Working knowledge and compliance with ADA Design Standards in project delivery

• Working knowledge and involvement in project deliveries adhering to NFPA 130 Design Standards

• Proficient in the FTA Safety & Security Certification Process

• Proficient in APTA Safety & Security Certification Standards

• Proficient in PTASP Development and Annual Review Process

• Proficient in Safety & Security Certification Documentation

• Proficient in Safety & Security Design Review

• Proficient in Hazard and Vulnerability Analysis/Assessments
