This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee project tasks for both internal and external clients throughout the United States, utilizing FTA processes and adhering to APTA industry standards.
• Implement risk management strategies for transit safety and security initiatives.
• Create Preliminary Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and Threat and Vulnerability Assessments (TVAs), along with related mitigations and countermeasures.
• Conduct workshops with diverse groups and committees.
• Generate Concept of Operations (CELs) and Critical Infrastructure Lists (CILs).
• Produce Design Criteria for Construction Contracts (DCCCs) and Construction Safety Coordination Plans (CSCCs).
• Engage directly with agency clients and project managers.
• Prepare Safety and Security Certification (SSC) documents and reports.
• Develop, assess, and revise Public Transportation Agency Safety Plans (PTASPs) on an annual basis.
• Perform SSC peer reviews.
• Provide SSC training to both internal and external clients.
• Offer direction and mentorship to multidisciplinary team members and junior staff.
• Complete tasks with minimal supervision from senior management.
• BA/BS degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or proven equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Public Transportation Safety Certification (PTSCTP and/or TSSP) is required.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is essential.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
• Must possess or be able to obtain U.S. Security Clearance.
• FTA TSSP Bus/Rail Certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated working proficiency with CPTED Design Standards.
• Demonstrated working proficiency with ADA Design Standards.
• Demonstrated working proficiency with NFPA 130 Design Standards.
• Proficiency in the FTA Safety & Security Certification Process.
• Proficiency in APTA Safety & Security Certification Standards.
• Proficiency in the development and annual review of PTASPs.
• Proficiency in Safety & Security Certification Documentation.
• Proficiency in Safety & Security Design Review.
• Proficiency in Hazard and Vulnerability Analysis/Assessments.
