Transit Safety Security Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee project tasks for both internal and external clients throughout the United States.

• Implement risk management procedures developed by FTA alongside APTA industry standards.

• Create PHAs/TVAs and their respective mitigations and countermeasures.

• Facilitate workshops with diverse groups and committees.

• Develop CELs/CILs and DCCCs/CSCCs.

• Engage directly with agency clients and project managers.

• Prepare SSC documents and detailed reports.

• Formulate, annually review, and refresh PTASPs.

• Perform SSC peer reviews.

• Provide SSC training for both internal and external clients.

• Offer direction and support to multidisciplinary colleagues and junior staff.

• Execute tasks with minimal supervision from senior management.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or a demonstrated equivalence of experience and/or education.

• Completion of Public Transportation Safety Certification Training Programs (PTSCTP and/or TSSP).

• Certification as a Safety Professional (CSP).

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Capable of passing a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.

• Must possess or be able to obtain U.S. Security Clearance.

• Proficient understanding of CPTED Design Standards.

• Proficient understanding of ADA Design Standards.

• Proficient understanding of NFPA 130 Design Standards.

• Proficient in the FTA Safety & Security Certification Process.

• Proficient in APTA Safety & Security Certification Standards.

• Proficient in the PTASP Development and Annual Review Process.

• Proficient in Safety & Security Certification Documentation.

• Proficient in Safety & Security Design Review.

• Proficient in Hazard and Vulnerability Analysis/Assessments.
