This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Oversee project tasks for both internal and external clients throughout the United States
• Implement risk-management processes developed by the FTA and adhere to APTA industry standards
• Create Preliminary Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and Threat and Vulnerability Assessments (TVAs) along with their corresponding mitigations and countermeasures
• Facilitate workshops with diverse groups and committees
• Generate Critical Emphasis Lists (CELs) and Critical Infrastructure Lists (CILs)
• Develop and manage Design Criteria and Construction Standards (DCCCs) and Construction Safety Criteria (CSCCs)
• Engage directly with agency clients and project managers
• Prepare Safety and Security Certification (SSC) documents and reports
• Annually develop, review, and update Public Transportation Agency Safety Plans (PTASPs)
• Conduct SSC peer evaluations
• Provide SSC training to both internal and external clients
• Offer direction and mentorship to multidisciplinary colleagues and junior staff
• Execute tasks with minimal supervision from senior management
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience of 6 years in a related field
• Completion of Public Transportation Safety Certification Training Programs (PTSCTP and/or TSSP)
• Certification as a Safety Professional (CSP)
• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Capability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
• Must possess or be able to obtain U.S. Security Clearance
• FTA TSSP Bus/Rail Certification is preferred
• Working knowledge of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Standards
• Working knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Design Standards
• Working knowledge of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 130 Design Standards
• Demonstrated expertise in the FTA Safety & Security Certification Process
• Demonstrated expertise in APTA Safety & Security Certification Standards
• Demonstrated expertise in PTASP Development and Annual Review Process
• Demonstrated expertise in Safety & Security Certification Documentation
• Demonstrated expertise in Safety & Security Design Review
• Demonstrated expertise in Hazard and Vulnerability Analysis/Assessments
