Transit Safety Security Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Oversee project tasks for both internal and external clients throughout the United States.

• Implement risk management strategies utilizing processes established by the FTA and industry standards from APTA.

• Offer direction and support to multi-disciplinary colleagues and junior staff on various assignments.

• Create PHAs/TVAs along with the necessary mitigations and countermeasures.

• Facilitate workshops with multi-disciplinary teams and committees.

• Develop CEL/CIL programs.

• Create DCCCs/CSCCs.

• Engage directly with agency clients and project managers.

• Prepare SSC documents and reports.

• Contribute to PTASP development, annual reviews, and updates.

• Conduct SSC peer reviews.

• Provide SSC training for both internal and external clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS plus 6 years of relevant experience or a demonstrated equivalence of experience and/or education.

• U.S. citizenship.

• Capability to pass an MVR check.

• Must possess or have the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance.

• Public Transportation Safety Certification (PTSCTP and/or TSSP) is preferred.

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is preferred.

• Must possess FTA TSSP Bus/Rail Certification (preferred).

• Working knowledge of CPTED Design Standards (preferred).

• Working proficiency and compliance in project delivery concerning ADA Design Standards (preferred).

• Working proficiency in project deliveries involving NFPA 130 Design Standards (preferred).

• Demonstrated proficiency with the FTA Safety & Security Certification Process (preferred).

• Demonstrated proficiency with APTA Safety & Security Certification Standards (preferred).

• Proven expertise in PTASP Development and the Annual Review Process (preferred).

• Proven proficiency with Safety & Security Certification Documentation (preferred).

• Proven track record in project deliveries involving Safety & Security Design Review (preferred).

• Proven experience in project deliveries concerning Hazard and Vulnerability Analysis/Assessments (preferred).
