Training Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure the accessibility and functionality of training labs across all courses offered.

• Collaborate with Course Architects to design hands-on labs that enhance course content and objectives.

• Work together to ensure lab activities align with training goals, providing practical, real-world experiences for participants.

• Develop proof of concept labs utilizing Ansible playbooks to automate the deployment and configuration of lab environments.

• Ensure proof of concept labs are scalable, repeatable, and well-documented.

• Exhibit project management skills from product design and development to client communication regarding delivery expectations.

• Demonstrate the ability to lead the overall CTF product by coordinating with other departments to facilitate development work, scheduling, and guiding development teams to meet established deliverable deadlines.

• Communicate project successes and challenges throughout the development process while prioritizing tasks for future enhancements.

• Deploy labs into the OpenStack cloud environment and AWS, ensuring participant accessibility for training purposes.

• Create and maintain thorough lab documentation, including setup instructions, troubleshooting guides, and lab manuals.

• Provide technical support to instructors and participants during training sessions to address lab-related issues or inquiries.

• Promptly troubleshoot and resolve lab environment problems.

• Conduct regular testing and quality assurance checks to confirm that labs are operational and free of errors.

• Collaborate with Course Architects to make necessary modifications and improvements to labs.

• Experience with automated infrastructure and configuration technologies such as Ansible or Terraform.

• Proven ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.

• Experience in client communication and delivering presentations.

• Capability to independently manage internal projects.

• Assist in scoping prospective engagements, participating in technical testing from kickoff through remediation, and mentoring less experienced staff.

• Effectively communicate successes and challenges with clients, team members, team leads, and upper management regarding project delivery.

• Coordinate and prepare for both internal and customer-facing meetings.

• Ability to lead projects focused on infrastructure development, automated deployments, and technology maintenance.

• Willingness to develop or refine processes while collaborating with multiple departments.

• Eagerness to learn from others.

• Strong analytical skills with the capacity to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts.

• Contribute new or improve existing content for SpecterOps training courses and assist in delivering course offerings (instruction, lab support, etc.).

• Ability to travel domestically or internationally an average of 10-25% over the course of one year.

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
