This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Formulate a business architecture strategy grounded in situational awareness of diverse healthcare business scenarios and organizational motivations.
• Employ a structured approach and methodology in business architecture to capture essential enterprise views, encompassing strategy, capability, value stream, and organizational perspectives.
• Document both tactical and strategic enterprise objectives that offer traceability throughout the organization and align with metrics for continuous governance.
• Outline strategic, core, and support processes that cross functional and organizational lines.
• Identify external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business, detailing associated personnel, resources, and controls.
• Illustrate relationships among roles, capabilities, and business units, including the breakdown of business units into subunits and the documentation of internal or external management frameworks.
• Create and maintain business architecture artifacts, including capability models, process flows, business context diagrams, and value-stream maps.
• Collaborate with IT architects, program managers, and stakeholders to ensure synergy between business strategy and technology initiatives.
• Aid enterprise governance efforts by providing architectural analysis, recommendations, and documentation to support decision-making.
• Convey complex architectural concepts effectively to a wide range of stakeholders, including both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience in business architecture, enterprise architecture, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in developing enterprise or business architecture deliverables within a complex, multi-stakeholder organization.
• Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF).
• Experience in creating business architecture artifacts including capability models, process models, and organizational maps.
• Familiarity with modeling notations like BPMN, ArchiMate, or UML.
• Strong analytical abilities to synthesize complex information and identify patterns, gaps, and opportunities.
• Proficient in architecture modeling tools (e.g., Sparx EA, BiZZdesign, or similar).
• Knowledge of healthcare IT environments, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, clinical workflows, and health information exchange.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; capable of producing executive-level presentations and technical documentation.
