This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee project management at a high level, coordinating Division 8 door hardware with Division 28 electronic access control systems while ensuring compliance with codes.
• Actively cultivate relationships with design professionals in the industry to boost demand for Allegion’s brands and architectural services.
• Identify key target accounts; establish and manage account goals to promote both short-term and long-term growth.
• Lead educational initiatives for architects, including AIA Lunch and Learns and networking events within the industry.
• Secure opportunities for specification writing from targeted architectural firms.
• Manage each specification project throughout its lifecycle, consistently updating the project schedule and Allegion stakeholders.
• Actively seek out and track new project opportunities by leveraging lead databases and industry connections.
• Pursue assigned construction leads promptly; submit RFAs (requests for approval) on projects where Allegion is not currently an approved manufacturer.
• Collaborate closely with the wider sales team on specification projects and during monthly market and project-tracking review meetings.
• Provide mentorship and development support to peers to foster team growth.
• Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline using our CRM to log call reports, track assigned projects through the sales process, and update essential customer and project information.
• Adapt to shifts in the marketplace and pursue ongoing education relevant to the construction industry and the needs of various industry influencers; engage in local industry events such as AIA, CSI, and DHI.
• Stay informed about all Allegion policies, guidelines, and procedures, ensuring compliance.
• High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of business development or relevant technical experience.
• Ability to gain a fundamental understanding of security system integrations and electronic components.
• Capability to effectively manage multiple projects, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities; strong presentation skills are essential.
• Proficient in business applications such as Bluebeam, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
• Proven experience in influencing others with a proactive approach.
• Strong focus on customer service.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the Greater Philadelphia, PA territory.
• Experience in architecture, construction, door hardware, or access control is preferred.
