Mobile Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop innovative features for the Cracker Barrel mobile application.

• Work closely with designers to ensure that the user interface and experience are consistent with Cracker Barrel's brand identity and standards.

• Develop and maintain the overall architecture of mobile applications, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and high-performing.

• Collaborate with backend teams to design and integrate external APIs and data sources, providing dynamic functionality within the app.

• Offer technical guidance to development teams, mentoring and supporting engineers in mobile development best practices.

• Conduct unit testing of code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and overall reliability.

• Assess and recommend mobile frameworks, tools, and platforms for cross-platform development (e.g., React Native, Flutter).

• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency.

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

• Identify and rectify bottlenecks while implementing optimization strategies for both frontend and backend components.

• Assist in maintaining code quality, organization, and automation.

• Regularly monitor app performance and user feedback to pinpoint areas for improvement and optimization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience as a Mobile Architect.

• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.

• Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services.

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of modern Android and iOS architectural patterns.

• Experience with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications.

• Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines.

• Previous experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

• Proficiency in mobile programming languages (Swift, Kotlin, Java, JavaScript).

• Experience with cross-platform development frameworks (React Native, Flutter, Xamarin).

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and backend integration.

• Familiarity with mobile security best practices.
