
Trainer, Law Enforcement β On-Call

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Leading training sessions focused on topics such as animal abuse and fighting investigations, animal cruelty and violent crimes, equine cruelty investigations, and police/dog interactions;
β’ Building and nurturing relationships with students and host agencies on behalf of Humane World for Animals;
β’ Collaborating with the Law Enforcement Training Coordinator to identify training opportunities;
β’ Organizing training schedules to align with the hiring and training needs of the Law Enforcement Training Center, while also developing a teaching outline and deciding on instructional methods including individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, and workshops;
β’ Overseeing assessments for trainees to evaluate progress and training effectiveness; responsible for reporting on the development of employees during their training periods.
β’ Bachelorβs degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
β’ A minimum of one year of relevant training experience is required;
β’ Experience collaborating closely with law enforcement on animal crime cases is essential;
β’ Must possess a strong understanding of animal cruelty laws and investigations, as well as a solid grasp of the connection between animal abuse and interpersonal violence;
β’ Exceptional verbal communication skills and experience in public speaking are necessary;
β’ Willingness and ability to travel is required.
