Trade Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete trade lifecycle on a daily basis, which includes monitoring order execution, reconciliation, and reporting.

• Take responsibility for daily reconciliation across various venues, custodians, and wallets.

• Monitor execution in real-time and address issues such as bad fills, routing challenges, stale quotes, and slippage.

• Develop and sustain operational tools and workflows to facilitate trading activities.

• Manage the incident runbook and act as the primary responder to trading errors and venue outages.

• Record incidents, determine root causes, and collaborate with engineering to avert future occurrences.

• Maintain systems for monitoring, alerting, and escalation to ensure desk resilience.

• Continuously enhance processes to minimize errors, reduce manual tasks, and eliminate operational bottlenecks.

• Generate operational reports and track KPIs for the Head of Trading.

• Liaise with exchanges, custodians, and external operational partners.

• Monitor risk exposures and trading limits, flag any breaches, and manage desk controls and reporting.

• Report directly to the Head of Trading.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in trading operations, trade support, middle/back office, or a similar operational role in digital assets or traditional finance.

• Experience in proprietary trading, hedge funds, or exchanges is highly desirable.

• Practical mindset; capable of independently building and troubleshooting solutions.

• Comfortable working in a lean, non-hierarchical environment without direct reports.

• Exceptional attention to detail, especially under time constraints.

• Technical proficiency with Excel and SQL.

• Ability to read or write basic scripts for automating operational tasks.

• Remain calm and swift during production incidents.

• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

• A genuine interest in blockchain, cryptocurrency, and decentralized finance (DeFi) is highly advantageous.
