Trade Compliance Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as the principal Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Canadian CBSA regulations, customs procedures, and entry filing requirements.

• Serve as the primary contact for clients, offering guidance, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a superior service experience.

• Evaluate and interpret data, documentation, and regulatory information to facilitate compliant decision-making.

• Oversee and implement multiple projects of moderate complexity, ensuring that deliverables are completed accurately and within deadlines.

• Create, monitor, and present metrics and performance insights to both clients and internal stakeholders.

• Identify compliance risks, propose corrective measures, and assist in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate across various functions with operations, compliance, and regulatory teams to resolve issues and improve processes.

• Remain updated on regulatory changes, CBSA updates, and industry best practices, proactively advising clients and internal teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with Canadian CBSA regulations, customs compliance, and Canadian entry filing.

• Preferred experience in a client-facing or advisory capacity.

• Strong knowledge of import processes, tariff classification, and regulatory documentation.
