Trackside Tyre Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist with all race, testing, simulator, and rig activities.

• Collaborate with fellow engineers and drivers to enhance on-track performance.

• Deliver pre- and post-event simulations, analyses, and key performance metrics related to tyre performance during race and test events.

• Contribute to the understanding of tyre physics and collaborate with tyre modelling engineers to facilitate vehicle performance analysis and development.

• Ensure continuous validation and correlation of tyre models with track and rig data to guarantee reliable validation of simulation outcomes.

• Investigate and adopt relevant technologies to promote the ongoing advancement of our models in alignment with the engineering needs of the Team.

• Engage with the entire Team to provide methodologies, tools, and solutions that support objective technical decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar higher education qualification.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in high-level motorsports.

• Strong theoretical foundation in vehicle dynamics and tyre modelling.

• Experience in tyre testing on the track and/or test benches.

• Practical knowledge of programming languages such as MATLAB or Python.

• Familiarity with data analysis software.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Flexible schedule, with a strong willingness to travel, particularly on weekends.

• Capacity to work both collaboratively in a team and independently, demonstrating a high level of commitment.
