This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clinical cases
• Utilize specialized toxicology knowledge to deliver objective, evidence-based medical advisory opinions
• Examine medical records, laboratory results, medication and substance exposure histories, toxicology reports, and pertinent clinical documentation
• Create clear and concise clinical summaries
• Address client inquiries regarding toxicologic findings, diagnoses, treatment, causation, and medical care
• Carry out advisory reviews of medical records only; no peer-to-peer discussions, calls, or direct patient care
• Evaluate the medical necessity and appropriateness of toxicology-related assessments and treatments
• Analyze toxicologic diagnoses, treatments, outcomes, and causation related to toxic exposures when relevant
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
• Board Certification in Medical Toxicology or equivalent board certification with extensive experience and expertise in toxicology
• Valid, unrestricted Texas medical license
• At least 5+ years of clinical experience in toxicology or a related clinical field
• Capability to participate in all mandatory orientation and training sessions
• Maintains necessary credentialing, state licensure, board certification, and any other qualifications required for the role
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to convey findings clearly and objectively in writing
• Proficiency in reviewing medical records, laboratory results, toxicology reports, medication records, and clinical documentation
• Ability to offer concise, well-supported, evidence-based clinical opinions
• Strong understanding of current clinical guidelines and evidence applicable to toxicologic conditions and treatment
• Independent consultant position providing schedule flexibility and predictable work hours
• Opportunity to select case types and manage workload according to your availability
• No peer-to-peer calls or discussions required
• No physician–patient relationship established; all reviews are advisory in nature with no treatment provided
• Efficient case flow facilitated through a user-friendly online work portal
• Dane Street oversees administrative processes, medical record organization, and communications
• Cases are fully prepared with organized medical records, laboratory and toxicology documentation, and relevant clinical guidelines
• Initial training is provided, along with continuous support and a dedicated point of contact
• Fully remote work from Texas
