This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.
• Lead and Inspire: Take charge of your group by providing clear insights about each destination, sharing your enthusiasm for the captivating culture of Sri Lanka, and crafting joyful, unforgettable experiences for travelers.
• Plan and Prepare: Maintain excellent organization, be familiar with your daily itinerary, and ensure seamless operations. Always have a Plan B ready to adapt to unexpected situations.
• Participate in training sessions and pre-tour briefings to ensure complete preparedness.
• Support and Communicate: Assist travelers with their inquiries and deliver outstanding customer service, even in difficult circumstances.
• Ensure Safety and Quality: Prioritize the safety of travelers and confirm that our partners adhere to quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
• Handle Emergencies: Effectively respond to challenges while remaining calm under pressure and following established protocols.
• Passion & Knowledge: A genuine love for India's culture, people, and history, along with a comprehensive understanding of its traditions, daily life, and current events.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in advanced German (C1) or French (C1) for communication with clients, along with good local language skills to facilitate tour operations.
• Experience: You are currently residing in Sri Lanka or have lived there for a minimum of one year, ensuring a deep and personal connection to the country.
• You must possess all required permissions to work as a Tour Coordinator and/or guide (First Aid Certification, CPR, and Heimlich maneuver).
• Personal Qualities: Highly organized, dependable, motivated, and solution-oriented, especially under pressure.
• Team Skills: Cooperative and communicative, exhibiting a positive and professional attitude.
• Training and Development: A detailed program designed to equip you with the skills needed to lead tours effectively, including a one-week shadowing experience with a seasoned guide.
