This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Guide groups on a variety of tours across the National Parks of North America, ensuring the safety, comfort, and knowledge of all participants throughout the journey.
β’ Oversee the seamless execution of each day's itinerary, making adjustments as needed based on weather, trail conditions, or other influences.
β’ Deliver clear guidance during outdoor activities, which may include hiking, biking, rafting, horseback riding, ziplining, and wildlife observation.
β’ Adhere to safety protocols and tour guidelines before and during the excursion.
β’ Serve as the primary point of contact for participants, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as required.
β’ Conduct pre-tour safety briefings and ensure all participants are properly equipped for all planned activities.
β’ Uphold the safety and well-being of all participants.
β’ Responsibly operate a 15-passenger van with an attached trailer to transport gear and participants between tour destinations as necessary.
β’ Prepare healthy and nutritious picnic-style lunches in accordance with meal guidelines.
β’ Cultivate a positive, friendly, and professional environment, ensuring that all participants have a memorable and enjoyable experience.
β’ Previous experience as a guide or in a similar role is advantageous.
β’ Strong understanding of the natural environment, travel logistics, and outdoor safety measures.
β’ Background in customer service, particularly in outdoor, tourism, or hospitality sectors.
β’ Valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
β’ Preferred experience in driving vans and towing trailers.
β’ Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
β’ Capability to navigate and lead groups through unfamiliar terrains using maps or other navigational tools.
β’ Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
β’ First Aid and CPR certification (or a commitment to obtaining certification).
β’ Ability to hike for prolonged durations across diverse terrains and in challenging weather conditions.
β’ Competence in safely driving and operating a van and trailer for extended periods.
β’ Capacity to lift up to 50lbs of equipment, bicycles, coolers, etc.
