This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• As the trip leader, you will guide a small group of travelers (4-10 people) on a 2-3 week journey across the country, serving as the host and representative of our company.
• You will provide clear and engaging information about the destinations we visit, sharing your enthusiasm for your captivating country.
• You will be the primary point of contact for our customers should any issues arise during the trip.
• Ensuring the safety of our travelers while facilitating a seamless tour experience will be part of your responsibilities.
• In certain situations, you may manage cash payments with local partners on behalf of the company.
• You will assist in monitoring that the services provided by our partners adhere to our quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
• Above all, you will enjoy the experience and share memorable moments with travelers from German-speaking countries!
• Proficient in the German, French, or Dutch language to effectively communicate with clients.
• Must be a resident of South Africa, Namibia, or Botswana with a valid National Tour Guide license and a Professional Driving Permit (PdP).
• Possess extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna, history, and contemporary issues in Southern Africa.
• Have a solid understanding of German, French, or Dutch culture and current affairs.
• You should be engaging, reliable, and well-organized.
• Characterized by openness, cheerfulness, willingness to assist, and a positive demeanor.
• Strong English language communication skills are required.
• Good communication skills in either German, French, or Dutch are essential.
• A passion for showcasing the authenticity of South Africa, Namibia, or Botswana is a must.
• You view our clients as more than just customers, treating them like friends and ensuring their experience is the best possible.
• You maintain composure under stress, follow protocols in special situations, and can devise flexible solutions independently.
• A keen interest in sustainable, local, and authentic travel practices is preferred.
• While experience is preferred, we also welcome recent graduates!
