This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Morocco.
β’ Lead & Inspire: Take charge of your group by offering engaging insights into Moroccan culture, history, landscapes, and daily life while fostering a warm and enjoyable atmosphere for travelers.
β’ Plan & Prepare: Maintain excellent organization, have a thorough understanding of the daily itinerary, and ensure seamless tour operations. Always be equipped with a Plan B to adapt to unexpected situations. (Hotel and transportation reservations are managed by our Operations team at Yallaventura, so you will not be responsible for booking these yourself.)
β’ Training & Briefings: Engage in training sessions and pre-tour briefings to ensure you are fully prepared for each departure.
β’ Support & Communication: Provide assistance to travelers with their inquiries and needs, delivering exceptional customer service throughout the journey.
β’ Safety & Quality: Guarantee traveler safety and uphold high standards with our local partners, accommodations, and activities.
β’ Handle Emergencies: Remain calm and solution-focused when addressing unforeseen circumstances and adhere to established procedures when necessary.
β’ Passion & Cultural Knowledge: A profound passion for Morocco along with a thorough understanding of its culture, traditions, landscapes, and local communities.
β’ Language Skills:
β’ French: Advanced level (C1 or higher) β mandatory, as most tours are conducted in French.
β’ English: Good working knowledge.
β’ Darija / Arabic: Required for communication with local partners, drivers, and service providers during the trip.
β’ Additional languages (Spanish or German) are an advantage.
β’ Experience & Location: You possess a strong enthusiasm for Morocco and are knowledgeable about its culture, history, and traditions. Previous experience in tourism or guiding is highly regarded.
β’ Certifications: You hold a valid official license to operate as a tour guide in Morocco, issued or recognized by the relevant Moroccan authorities. First Aid certification is a plus (training can be arranged if necessary).
β’ Personal Qualities: Organized, dependable, proactive, and solution-oriented, with the ability to maintain composure under pressure.
β’ Team Spirit: Communicative, cooperative, and professional, with a positive and welcoming demeanor.
β’ Training & Development: A thorough onboarding program, including a one-week shadowing period with an experienced guide.
