Tolling Technical Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Support the project team in creating procurement documents and facilitating the procurement process for roadside systems, commercial back-office systems, customer service and facilities, as well as collection services.

• Aid the project team in overseeing the deployment of roadside systems, commercial back-office systems, customer service and facilities, and collection services.

• Contribute to and spearhead initiatives related to the development of the toll program:

• Establishing policies and procedures

• Ensuring interoperability with other toll agencies and programs

• Implementing financial controls

• Managing communications and marketing initiatives

• Overseeing data management, analytics, and reporting

• Coordinating with project Design-Builder activities concerning toll site infrastructure

• Maintaining close collaboration with ALDOT and other Alabama agency personnel

• Developing ALDOT's internal tolling staff

• The Tolling Technical Manager should be flexible in working remotely while remaining highly responsive to project requirements and daily operational needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, planning, computer science, or finance

• At least 5 years of experience leading the implementation of toll collection systems

• Strong analytical and technical abilities

• Capacity to work collaboratively within diverse teams

• Ability to operate independently and demonstrate self-motivation

• Comfortable engaging with clients directly and representing their best interests when collaborating with contractors, vendors, and design-build teams

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient writing skills for drafting technical standards, contract language, RFPs, memos, and reports
