Regional Technical Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Accountable for articulating and/or crafting technical specifications and suggesting suitable products and technical solutions to support the achievement of sales objectives.

• Create solutions and proposals while recommending products that align with customer requirements, establishing Cambium as the preferred vendor.

• Conduct training sessions, workshops, and webinars for both new and existing channel partners and end customers.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to offer technical expertise across a variety of products and facilitate integration within the customer's technical ecosystem.

• Gather product and feature requirements and relay them to the regional leader or engineering teams.

• Proactively identify, in conjunction with the local sales manager and other RTM colleagues, the key activities to be executed such as partner training, customer workshops, and significant projects.

• Provide technical support for our partners during the post-tender phase.

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the region.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in field engineering, troubleshooting large and complex systems, and methodically resolving issues.

• Strong communication skills necessary for developing robust relationships with regional sales, engineering, post-sales support, and key technical customer contacts. Ability to leverage relationships with other business units and/or external partners to deliver effective solutions.

• Proficient presentation skills, capable of creating and delivering impactful presentations.

• Self-driven and capable of working independently to formulate and implement technology strategies with minimal guidance from the RTM manager or sales manager.

• Extensive knowledge of 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless networks, including site surveys, requirements gathering, and deployment challenges.

• Comprehensive understanding of wired IP networking, encompassing firewalls, content filters, routing/switching, VLANs, etc.

• Familiarity with wireless security methodologies, including 802.1x with RADIUS integration.
