TOEFL Assessment Consultant – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assess and analyze user responses to TOEFL/TESOL practice questions utilizing rubrics developed by our internal team.

• Review and refine written feedback given to users, ensuring it is precise, well-articulated, and aligned with rubric standards.

• Gain in-depth knowledge of a particular question type (e.g., Write an Email, Virtual Interview, Academic Discussion) and understand the appropriate structure and scoring criteria for responses in that category.

• Conduct peer evaluations by aligning your assessments with those of fellow contractors and scores generated by graders to maintain consistency and accuracy.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in English, ESL, Education, or a related discipline.

• TESOL certification is required.

• At least 5 years of experience working with adult ESL learners.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience specifically teaching or tutoring for the TOEFL.

• Non-native English speaker with proficiency in multiple languages at a native level.

• Proven familiarity with structured assessments and rubric-based evaluations; teaching specialization (writing, speaking, etc.) is flexible.

• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to apply scoring standards consistently.

• Capable of working independently as an online contractor.

• Excellent communication skills; this role involves regular collaboration with fellow reviewers and the internal team.
