Title Examiner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Title Examiners are tasked with abstracting and reviewing documents from public records, as well as providing title opinions.

• Review title orders in accordance with company standards to assess the conditions of the title and its insurability.

• Utilize title plant software to research, analyze, and evaluate relevant record documents.

• Clarify the chain of title, exceptions, and requirements to clients and management.

• Identify title defects and develop curative solutions.

• Evaluate risks and liabilities that could pose a threat to the company.

• Maintain appropriate production levels and delivery standards on a daily basis.

• Collaborate closely with customers and escrow personnel.

• Prepare precise and comprehensive title commitments following company protocols.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in Title examination with experience in CA, AZ, and NV.

• Proficient with TitlePoint, DataTrace, and searching county websites.

• Understanding of underwriting policies and guidelines.

• Solid knowledge of metes and bounds, along with adverse matters related to the subject property.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to work within set timeframes.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.

• Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Experience in Colorado is advantageous.
