Tigrinya, Oromo OPI/VRI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Have knowledge of the specific terminology used within the industry (healthcare and medical).

• Accurately convey all messages without adding, omitting, or altering any information.

• Deliver exceptional customer service while interpreting.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients through precise interpretation.

• Uphold established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Communicate and provide reports to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target languages "Tigrinya, Oromo".

• Over 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an added benefit.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are advantageous (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent skills in communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention.

• Must meet technical requirements for remote work.
