Threat Intelligence Researcher – Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Identify, analyze, and monitor advanced state-sponsored or financially driven attackers that target cloud ecosystems.

• Conduct thorough investigations across a diverse range of data sources to uncover malicious campaigns aimed at Wiz customers.

• Utilize both open and closed data to trace the infrastructure and malware employed by advanced threat actors.

• Examine and attribute incidents, campaigns, and threat actors to gain insights into their motivations and methodologies.

• Share innovative discoveries with various audiences, including customers and the general public.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in security or threat research, focusing on either advanced state-sponsored actors or complex financially motivated campaigns, with a proven history of tracking sophisticated threat actors.

• Capability to devise innovative and sustainable methods for identifying and tracking threat actors across diverse data sets.

• Extensive subject matter expertise in at least one actor tracking mechanism (malware, infrastructure, etc.).

• Experience with large-scale telemetry, particularly in infrastructure hunting and utilizing query languages and scripting.

• Knowledge of malware analysis and proficiency in using YARA for malware hunting.

• Willingness to assume various roles to enhance actor tracking efforts.
