Thermal Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the design, modeling, and documentation of passive thermal insulation systems.

• Collaborate across departments with thermal and structural engineering teams.

• Engage directly with program stakeholders to provide high-quality drawings and documentation.

• Create comprehensive 3D and 2D models and engineering drawings for passive thermal insulation systems utilizing CREO.

• Generate drawings in .CATDrawing or .drw file formats in alignment with program standards.

• Assist in the design of MLI blanket flat patterns, layup stack-ups, and installation specifics.

• Ensure that all models and drawings are thoroughly complete and prepared for peer review and final approval.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience in place of a degree).

• 3–8 years of experience in engineering design or drafting within the aerospace, defense, or a comparable industry.

• Proficient in CREO for 3D modeling and 2D drawing generation.

• Experience in producing engineering drawings in .drw format.

• Proven ability to develop and document engineering requirements.
