This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Collaborate with a Project Executive and Project Manager to assist in the structural design and execution of projects from initial concept to construction.
• Conduct structural analysis, design, and evaluation of systems and components across various building types and project sectors.
• Aid in creating structural solutions that meet project goals, timelines, budgets, and construction feasibility.
• Work together with architects, engineers, contractors, fabricators, and other stakeholders to align project requirements and address design challenges.
• Generate structural calculations, design documents, technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Assess project documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Assist the Project Executive and Project Manager in addressing client inquiries, RFIs, submittals, and engineering needs during the construction phase.
• Engage in project meetings and provide technical insights to facilitate project decision-making and ensure successful execution.
• Employ structural analysis, modeling, and drafting software to create efficient and effective design solutions.
• Uphold quality standards and comply with Apex's established design, documentation, and project delivery procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• A Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is advantageous.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering.
• A comprehensive understanding of applicable building codes, materials, and standards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
• Proficiency in software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit, and Ram Connection is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent organizational skills.
• A genuine interest in steel and concrete design, along with a commitment to enhancing professional knowledge and skills in steel and concrete construction.
