Lead Engineer – Power Generation Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary technical resource for the Power Generation Design team.

• Accountable for establishing engineering standards, defining project execution strategies, and providing mentorship to team members for Power Generation facilities.

• Oversee conceptual design through to detailed design efforts for:

• Power Plant Site Planning

• Generator Systems

• MV/LV Distribution

• Balance of Plant (BOP) Electrical and Mechanical Design

• Process Automation & Control

• Proficient with “blank paper” starting points, guiding clients and project design teams throughout the complete design and construction process.

• Develop design templates, checklists, and QA/QC standards.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, etc.) to provide integrated solutions.

• Act as the Technical Authority during client meetings and design reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of progressive engineering experience, including roles as a Lead Engineer, Owner’s Engineer, or Technical Principal.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in supervising, mentoring, and/or leading technical personnel.

• Proven capability to lead technical work while managing multiple projects concurrently.

• Solid understanding of power systems, generation interconnection, and high-voltage infrastructure.

• Experience working within multi-disciplinary design team environments.

• Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
