Thai VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Professionally handle incoming calls, adhering to the Interpreter's code of ethics.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specialized vocabulary relevant to the interpreting field, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts.

• Ensure accurate and complete rendering of all messages, refraining from adding, omitting, or substituting any content.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Enable effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and thorough interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional development training.

• Show enthusiasm for acquiring new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and provide updates to your team leader.

• Follow dress code standards for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Thai."

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience at a reputable interpretation company is advantageous but not essential.

• Good understanding of medical terminology is beneficial but not required.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications within the healthcare sector are an advantage (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language is required.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities are essential.
