Test Manager – Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of test strategies, plans, and delivery methods.

• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams involved in testing.

• Advocate for an automation-first approach while promoting best practices in Quality Engineering.

• Champion shift-left testing throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Manage activities related to SIT, UAT, regression, and release testing.

• Oversee defect and risk management, ensuring comprehensive quality reporting.

• Coordinate non-functional testing, which includes performance, load, and security assessments.

• Provide support for projects utilizing Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.

• Deliver quality governance and regular updates to stakeholders.

• Influence decisions related to quality and continuously enhance testing methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Test Manager in large-scale enterprise programs.

• Strong comprehension of test automation and principles of Quality Engineering.

• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery frameworks.

• In-depth knowledge of shift-left testing and engineering-driven quality practices.

• Experience in overseeing non-functional testing processes.

• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication abilities.

• Capability to lead teams, establish testing strategies, and influence critical quality decisions.

• Applicants must currently reside in Portugal.
