This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Mentor and coach up to 5 engineers, focusing on their career advancement, technical growth, and daily assistance.
• Take responsibility for achieving team objectives and executing the roadmap.
• Identify and eliminate obstacles to ensure projects progress smoothly.
• Review Architecture Decision Documents (ADDs) and perform pre-launch risk evaluations.
• Ensure that systems are in alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
• Lead preliminary technical exploration, feasibility studies, and capacity assessments for upcoming projects.
• Engage in regular pull request reviews, design conversations, and incident retrospectives.
• Dedicate 10–20% of your time to technical tasks, emphasizing collaborative work and specific tickets rather than routine feature development.
• Guide engineering methodologies across teams utilizing agile practices, test-driven development (TDD), and sound software design principles.
• Act as the primary representative of the team, liaising with Product, Design, leadership, and cross-functional collaborators.
• Contribute to coding and coding practices while fostering the growth of engineers and the engineering discipline.
• Professional experience in programming with open-source languages.
• At least 5 years of experience in delivering software within a production environment.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a management role.
• Must be based in the U.S.
• Proven experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Professional background in React or TypeScript.
• Experience with the automated evaluation and testing of workflows powered by LLM.
• Familiarity with LangSmith or similar tools for observability and assessment.
• Understanding of prompt engineering and lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of LangGraph, AutoGen, or other agent orchestration frameworks.
• Proficiency with AI-powered coding tools (e.g., Cursor).
• Experience collaborating across functions to enhance business processes.
• Previous experience as a technical lead on projects involving UX/UI design and/or product management.
