Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute test plans

• Collaborate within an Agile framework with developers, end users, and organizations to formulate test plans and scripts in a Test Driven Development (TDD) setting

• Coordinate with testing sites and other team members to organize test events

• Write and contribute to the creation of test plans and procedures

• Test Environment & Infrastructure

• Set up necessary hardware and operating environments as required to fulfill assigned testing

• Utilize technical knowledge across IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems, networks, and specialized environments to aid test execution

• Reporting & Issue Management

• Generate test reports that document results and findings

• Monitor issues and report errors identified during testing

• Manage problems to resolution in line with established acceptance criteria

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)

• Over 2 years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance

• Experience collaborating within Agile development teams alongside developers, end users, and organizational stakeholders

• Demonstrated experience in writing or helping to develop test plans and procedures

• Experience in creating test plans and scripts within a Test Driven Development (TDD) framework

• Extensive technical knowledge across IT products, operating systems, software, hardware, systems, networks, and specialized environments

• Proficient in configuring hardware and operating environments to facilitate test execution

• Experience in creating and presenting test reports

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a capacity to track and resolve issues against defined acceptance criteria

• Capability to coordinate effectively with testing sites, team participants, and cross-functional stakeholders

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
