Test Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain thorough test plans for applications and services driven by databases, encompassing feature testing and automated regression testing.

• Verify data accuracy, schema integrity, and query performance across diverse environments.

• Create, execute, and maintain automated testing scripts.

• Conduct load, stress, and performance testing to ensure scalability in real-world scenarios.

• Collaborate with developers to efficiently reproduce, diagnose, and resolve defects.

• Document test outcomes, generate detailed defect reports, and monitor issues until resolution.

• Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive end-to-end testing strategies.

• Analyze requirements and assist in the basic design, development, and ongoing upkeep of both manual and automated test suites according to project needs.

• Execute both automated and manual testing, including functional, application, regression, and integration tests.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, ideally with database products or data-intensive applications.

• Proficient SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, and stored procedures for testing and validation purposes.

• Solid experience with relational databases such as Snowflake, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server; experience with ETL/ELT is an advantage.

• Practical experience with automated testing frameworks and performance testing tools; familiarity with BDD frameworks like SpecFlow, Cucumber, or similar is highly preferred.

• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.

• Strong communication skills and the capability to collaborate effectively across various teams.

• A self-driven team player with a strong sense of ownership, dedication to quality, and a desire for continuous learning.

• Previous experience utilizing AI-assisted tools for test automation and their integration into daily testing activities is a plus.

• Ability to rapidly learn new technologies, tools, and systems.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
