QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and implement automated test scripts to confirm application functionality, user workflows, and regression scenarios.

• Facilitate UI automation utilizing tools like Playwright, emphasizing dependable and maintainable test coverage.

• Aid in the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and the release processes.

• Record defects, replicate issues, and validate fixes in collaboration with developers and product teams.

• Clearly communicate test outcomes, risks, and obstacles during sprint and release activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in place of a degree.

• At least two (2) years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or application development.

• Practical experience with both manual and automated testing, including defect documentation, regression testing, and validation.

• Experience or familiarity with Playwright, JavaScript, TypeScript, Postman, Swagger, or comparable testing tools.

• Fundamental understanding of CI/CD principles, GitHub Actions, and cloud-based application environments like AWS.

• Familiarity with web application technologies such as Vue.js, Python, Django, PostgreSQL, or Amazon S3.

• Capability to work effectively in an Agile team setting and collaborate with developers, product owners, and other testers.

• Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship. Due to the nature of this role and associated government clearance requirements, candidates must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders) to be eligible for consideration. Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
