Test Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain automated testing processes across API, data, middleware, and application layers.

• Work in conjunction with software developers, analysts, and functional testers to devise and implement comprehensive end-to-end testing strategies.

• Develop and implement test cases that correspond with both functional and non-functional requirements specified in user stories.

• Conduct data validation tasks utilizing SQL and various data analysis tools.

• Establish and uphold scalable automation frameworks for testing middleware, API, and data layers.

• Organize and carry out regression testing activities in alignment with release and change management protocols.

• Provide testing estimates and ensure that testing efforts adhere to project timelines and delivery milestones.

• Diagnose software issues and assist in root cause analysis in partnership with delivery teams and business stakeholders.

• Engage in the development and ongoing enhancement of enterprise testing strategies and best practices.

• Spot opportunities to enhance testing efficiency, automation coverage, and quality results.

• Contribute to team goals and take on extra responsibilities as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Over 5 years of experience in software testing and automation engineering.

• Proficient in executing both manual and automated test scripts.

• Extensive experience in API, middleware, integration, and data testing.

• Familiarity with Selenium, TestNG, or similar automation frameworks and tools.

• Strong understanding of Jira for test management and defect tracking.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline-based test automation methodologies.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with developers and technical teams in Agile settings.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to acquire and maintain government clearance.

• Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or other healthcare-related organizations.

• Knowledge in ReadyAPI, SoapUI, Groovy scripting, performance testing, or regression testing.

• Familiarity with AWS services such as CloudWatch, Step Functions, Lambda, and canary validation techniques.

• Experience in Agile and DevSecOps delivery environments.

• Understanding of accessibility testing practices and Section 508 compliance tools.
