Senior Software Developer, Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee automated testing frameworks, and incorporate existing frameworks and test harnesses.

• Administer test mocks and stubs, as well as the integration of tests within a Continuous Development setting.

• Collaborate with Test Engineers, Developers, and Infrastructure teams to facilitate automation integration, environment mocking, Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) Application Program Interface (API) integrations, and other techniques for early defect identification in the testing lifecycle.

• Integrate with Application lifecycle management tools such as Jira or Qtest.

• Operate in a Senior role – take initiative and ownership of projects, self-direct research for new solutions, and mentor junior team members.

• Identify opportunities and lead initiatives to enhance current testing processes or establish new ones to boost efficiency and productivity in test case development, scheduling, or deployment.

• Create automated test scripts utilizing open-source tools like Selenium, MS Playwright, or Appium.

• Construct new scripts and resolve issues in existing scripts.

• Address complex record and playback issues, including intricate correlation challenges.

• Embed test automation within the CI/CD Pipeline.

• Evaluate test results and prioritize and document defects with relevant details.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline, along with three (3) years of experience as part of a Software Development Team of testers.

• Three (3) years of prior experience utilizing Test Management Software.

• Three (3) years of experience with the software development lifecycle.

• Three (3) years of experience in Java programming.

• Three (3) years of experience with Microsoft Azure technologies.

• Three (3) years of experience using API Testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.

• Three (3) years of experience in implementing API automation frameworks.

• Three (3) years of experience in implementing mocks and stubs in a testing environment.

• Proven knowledge of TCP/IP, Firewalls, Networking theory, and server environments.

• Experience testing Windows desktop applications, web applications, web services, and interfaces.
