Test Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and uphold automated test scripts and frameworks utilizing industry-standard tools and best practices.

• Identify testing scenarios and formulate comprehensive test plans for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to guarantee continuous and efficient testing.

• Analyze test outcomes, detect defects, and collaborate with development teams to address issues.

• Contribute to the creation and upkeep of test data and test environments.

• Keep abreast of the latest testing methodologies, tools, and trends, and advocate for their adoption when suitable.

• Work alongside manual testers to pinpoint areas suitable for automation and enhance overall test coverage.

• Accurately document test plans, test cases, and test results.

• Ensure adherence to relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 62304).

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in test automation, ideally within a regulated industry such as medical devices or digital health.

• Strong expertise in one or more automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright).

• Solid programming capabilities in languages including Python, Java, or JavaScript.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).

• Understanding of various testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).

• Knowledge of software testing principles, test design patterns, and defect management processes.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Experience in testing mobile applications (iOS and Android) and backend APIs.

• Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and security testing practices is advantageous.

• Experience with development adhering to IEC 62304 is a plus.

• Fluency in English; additional EU languages are a benefit.
