This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Expand sales of Trex Composite Fencing by converting customers from wood, vinyl, and competing composite products.
• Gain a comprehensive understanding of local market dynamics, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies.
• Influence product choices among contractors and homeowners through educational initiatives and value-driven selling techniques.
• Monitor and increase composite market penetration within designated accounts and regions.
• Identify promising residential fencing contractors in the assigned territory.
• Recruit, onboard, and engage contractors in a strategic partnership with FSG and Trex.
• Encourage consistent quoting practices where Trex Composite Fencing is featured in every relevant project estimate.
• Position Trex as the preferred premium fencing solution for contractors.
• Provide support through in-field training, product demonstrations, lunch-and-learn sessions, and jobsite visits.
• Inform contractors about Trex product features, performance advantages, installation best practices, and homeowner value propositions.
• Mentor contractors on how to present Trex effectively and confidently.
• Cultivate strong working relationships with contractors, dealers, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with Inside Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure a superior contractor experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience, ideally in building materials, construction products, or home improvement.
• Demonstrated success in influencing product selection and promoting the adoption of premium solutions.
• Experience interacting with contractors, installers, or trade professionals.
• Strong consultative and value-based selling abilities.
• Self-driven with the capability to independently manage a field-based territory.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned market.
• Experience in fencing, decking, railing, or exterior building products is preferred.
• Background in launching or expanding a new product category.
• Knowledge of wood, vinyl, aluminum, and composite fencing systems.
