This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +3 more states.
• Accountable for enhancing agency partnerships to boost the profitability of GEICO and its affiliated products within a specified area of responsibility.
• Oversee agents within an assigned territory through in-person meetings, virtual interactions, phone calls, and emails to cultivate relationships, provide training, and manage agency performance.
• Conduct territory analysis to identify where to allocate time and resources in order to formulate and implement a strategic plan aimed at achieving growth and profitability objectives.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of Commercial Insurance by applying knowledge of the company's commercial offerings, competitive positioning, industry trends, sales tools, and agency technology to design and execute effective sales calls.
• Prepare and document strategic pre-call initiatives and identify new opportunities to assist agencies in increasing their Company-written premium.
• Collaborate with product management to pinpoint new opportunities for growth.
• Provide competitive intelligence regarding methods to enhance our industry standing.
• Document the most effective processes for prospecting, qualifying, and onboarding new commercial agencies to broaden the Company’s agency distribution network.
• Monitor agent performance against action plans, identify necessary actions, and implement them as required to support our partners (employees and agents) in expanding their business with the Company.
• Develop and present annual and semi-annual sales plans, as well as regular updates and reports to leadership to facilitate strategic oversight.
• Engage with key state and industry association groups to assess growth initiatives in both new and existing states.
• Create onboarding, training, and development plans (including mentoring) for new Company sales and sales process teams.
• Ability to follow intricate instructions, resolve conflicts or mediate conflict resolution, and possess strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Aptitude to learn and apply extensive technical and procedural information.
• Previous experience in driving sales results is essential.
• Experience with various lines of insurance is advantageous (P&C, Commercial, Life/Health).
• Must be able to perform essential functions, with or without accommodation, which include, but are not limited to, seeing, hearing, typing, and speaking.
• Ability to communicate in a clear, empathetic, and professional manner over the phone.
• Must adhere to the GEICO Code of Conduct, as well as company policies and operational principles.
• Compliance with GEICO’s driving standards and/or policy is required.
• Meet attendance standards at the business location to carry out essential job functions and facilitate interactions with subordinates and management.
• A valid driver’s license and auto insurance are mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Independent Agents is preferred.
• A Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of sales or relevant insurance experience is preferred.
