This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Support the overall sales and organizational objectives for the Ohio market.
• Assist both existing and prospective customers in achieving or surpassing their specific business goals by promoting and demonstrating the Smart Storage products.
• Meet sales quotas, profit targets, and objectives, while expanding the customer base and maintaining relationships with existing clients through a direct and distribution sales model.
• Develop the business within the assigned territory by nurturing existing customer relationships and generating new opportunities through relationship building, cold outreach, and customer meetings.
• Evaluate competitor activities in the region and identify opportunities for business growth.
• Stay informed about industry news and trends to discover possibilities for new business.
• Participate in relevant industry events and conferences as necessary to drive business and sales.
• Act as a liaison among the customer, customer service, and manufacturing facility.
• Strive to meet revenue targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) such as product quotas, annual sales goals, new product development sales requirements, and minimum quote funnel requirements established by the business.
• Coordinate and communicate activities with the Regional Sales Manager, fellow Territory Sales Managers, Segment Managers, the National Distribution Manager, and other Storage Solutions representatives who may assist with a project or account.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of all Smart Storage products.
• Conduct product training for distributors and end users on all Storage Solutions products and services, including existing offerings, new products, and additional services (literature, Digital Applications & Tools).
• Develop and utilize distributor partnerships to achieve assigned territory revenue goals.
• Manage and operate within a specific travel and entertainment budget.
• Adhere to all Stanley Black & Decker Business Conduct rules and regulations.
• Travel responsibilities include connecting with end users and distributors, collaborating with local Territory Sales Managers to enhance sales within the region.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred (Business, Sales, Management, or equivalent fields).
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in industrial products or related complex commercial product sales.
• Experience in both direct sales and dealer/distributor sales preferred.
• Proficiency in using computers, MS Office products, and CAD software is a plus.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Self-motivated with a high energy level.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Capability to plan and execute responsibilities while working independently.
• Excellent driving record.
• Willingness to travel daily within the territory for sales meetings and/or shows as necessary.
• Availability to work and travel on weekends and outside of core business hours for business events: Trade Shows, Customer Meetings, etc.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
