This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Accountable for the sales of the NanoIndentation portfolio and achieving or surpassing all assigned sales targets set by Oxford Instruments.
• Identify, assess, and manage sales leads and new customer accounts to fulfill both individual and team sales goals.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to uncover and cultivate new opportunities, finalize deals, and reach sales objectives.
• Establish and nurture robust relationships with both current and potential customers.
• Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor actions, and market changes.
• Maintain precise sales forecasts, update CRM systems, and ensure that all customer and opportunity information is current.
• Conduct product demonstrations, provide training, and deliver technical support to customers.
• Travel frequently to engage with customers, attend trade exhibitions, and assist with customer installations.
• Collaborate closely with application specialists, service teams, and engineering/product management to provide tailored solutions.
• Utilize a consultative, value-driven sales approach to enhance customer satisfaction.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Materials Sciences or a related field is preferred.
• 3-5 years of sales experience in the scientific sector.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant technologies, customers, and market dynamics.
• Willingness to travel 50% of the time, including occasional international travel.
• Strong preference for experience in metallurgy and nanoindentation.
• Solid background in technical sales, including relationship building and comprehensive customer interaction across various departments and functions.
• Extensive experience with CRM systems, preferably SAP CRM.
• Capability to deliver sales presentations and convey technical information in a clear and comprehensible manner.
