
Territory Sales Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +7 more states.
• Drive sales growth by recognizing opportunities and establishing business partnerships with both new and existing clients.
• Create prospect lists and cultivate a focused pipeline utilizing industry resources such as directories, trade shows, online sources, referrals, and more.
• Formulate strategies to meet sales objectives through a disciplined 80/20 sales approach.
• Travel within the assigned territory to engage with current and potential customers, fostering relationships and soliciting orders.
• Establish and nurture relationships with customer contacts, including owners, executives, purchasing agents, accounts payable staff, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Organize customer training sessions and support the integration of products/programs.
• Identify and relay changes in customer ownership, personnel, and locations to company leadership.
• Showcase and demonstrate products using samples or catalogs while effectively communicating their value and differentiators.
• Provide pricing quotes and credit terms within established guidelines and prepare sales contracts for secured orders.
• Compile reports of business transactions and manage expense accounts in line with company policy.
• Conduct market research to remain informed about market trends, competition, and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with branch locations to ensure account activities, challenges, and requirements are up-to-date and visible.
• Attend trade shows and association expos as necessary to bolster growth and relationship building.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university OR 3–5 years of relevant experience/training; an equivalent combination is also acceptable.
• Capability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, as well as procedural manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Proficient math skills, including arithmetic, and the ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages, as well as interpret bar graphs.
• Competence in using contact management/CRM systems along with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Understanding and application of the 80/20 business principle.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel up to 85% of the time.
