This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Accountable for enhancing agency relationships to boost the profitability of GEICO and its affiliated products within a designated area.

• Oversees the formulation and implementation of policies designed to strengthen agency relationships.

• Engages in prospecting, interviewing, and approving new appointments to broaden GEICO's agency distribution network.

• Manages agents in a specific area through in-person visits, virtual meetings, phone calls, and emails to foster relationships, provide training, and oversee agency performance.

• Implements the policies and procedures associated with the agency program.

• Translates national strategic initiatives into local goals and objectives; secures commitment and holds agents accountable for execution.

• Evaluates agent performance against established goals, procedures, and guidelines.

• Advises agents and, with leadership support, takes disciplinary actions against agents when necessary, including termination.

• Communicates effectively; assists agencies in creating local marketing strategies to achieve growth objectives.

• Utilizes data analysis to devise pre-call strategies that concentrate on the most significant opportunities within the assigned area and/or specific agency.

• Serves as a subject matter expert on GEICO and its affiliated products, features, and tools.

• Conducts research to maintain a thorough understanding of competitor offerings to encourage agents to promote our products.

• Assesses agency performance and ensures agents adhere to agreed-upon action plans.

• Provides training to agency staff on GEICO and affiliated products, services, and value propositions.

• Collaborates with leadership and the product team to develop effective growth plans for agencies.

• Prepares business plans for the department, forecasts staffing needs, and manages budgets.

• Requests necessary supplies and materials to ensure smooth operations.

• Regularly reviews plans and budgets to identify potential cost reductions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years of sales or relevant insurance experience (claims experience preferred).

• Previous experience in driving sales performance.

• Experience working with various lines of insurance is advantageous (P&C, Commercial, Life/Health).

• Must comply with GEICO's driving standards and/or policy.

• Possession of a valid driver's license and auto insurance is required.

• Must be able to perform essential functions, with or without accommodation, such as seeing, hearing, typing, and speaking.

• Ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally over the phone.

• Capable of meeting in person and virtually.

• Must follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and possess strong organizational and priority-setting skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Must be able to learn and apply extensive technical and procedural information.
