šŸ“‹ Description

• Accountable for the enhancement of agency relationships to boost the profitability of GEICO and its associated products within a specified area of responsibility.

• Oversees the formulation and implementation of policies aimed at enhancing agency relationships.

• Engages in prospecting, interviewing, and approving new appointments to broaden GEICO's agency distribution network.

• Manages agents within a designated territory through in-person visits, virtual meetings, phone calls, and emails to cultivate relationships, provide training, and oversee agency performance.

• Executes the policies and procedures of the agency program.

• Translates national strategic initiatives into localized goals and objectives; secures commitment and ensures agents are accountable for their execution.

• Monitors agent performance against established goals, procedures, and guidelines.

• Provides counsel to agents and, with leadership support, administers disciplinary actions, including termination when necessary.

• Facilitates effective communication; aids agencies in crafting local marketing strategies and plans to achieve growth targets.

• Utilizes data analysis to devise pre-call strategies that concentrate on the most significant opportunities within the assigned area and/or specific agency.

• Serves as a subject matter expert on GEICO and its affiliated products, features, and tools.

• Conducts market research to maintain a comprehensive understanding of competitor offerings, influencing agents to promote our products.

• Assesses agency performance and holds agents accountable for adhering to agreed-upon action plans.

• Provides training for agency staff on GEICO and affiliated products, services, and value propositions.

• Collaborates with leadership and the product team to develop effective and efficient growth strategies utilized by agencies.

• Prepares departmental business plans, staffing forecasts, and budgets.

• Requisitions essential supplies and materials for smooth operations.

• Regularly reviews plans and budgets to identify opportunities for cost reduction.


ā›³ļø Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years of sales or relevant insurance experience (claims experience preferred).

• Previous experience in driving sales outcomes.

• Prior exposure to various lines of insurance is advantageous (P&C, Commercial, Life/Health).

• Adherence to GEICO's driving standards and/or policies.

• Valid driver's license and auto insurance required.

• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation, including but not limited to seeing, hearing, typing, and speaking.

• Must communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally via phone.

• Availability for in-person and virtual meetings.

• Capability to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and possess strong organizational and prioritization skills.

• Proficient in multitasking.

• Ability to learn and apply extensive technical and procedural information.
